1903 - 1905 15" AMERICAN BEAR $425.00

I named him "Dusty" because when I acquired him he left little piles of black sooty dust wherever I sat him down. He was owned by a lady who was born in 1896. This had been her childhood companion. We just don't know how old she was when she got him. His fur is nearly all there. It has faded to a deep gold. Dusty has been carefully preserved for future generations. All his disintigrated excelsior was removed. He was thoroughly cleaned and refilled with a softer material to help preserve his delicate "skin". His paw pads are wool felt and an exact match to his originals.. as are his vintage shoe button eyes. He has a twill nose and the remnants of a tag that was sewn to the back of his leg. He truly is a charming bear that with careful handling should last for many more decades.

18" In original excellent condition. An unidentified British Bear with a very large head. Made from cinnamon plush . Kapok and excelsior fills this unusual huggy bear. Felt foot pads are original. The short arms do not have paw pads. This wonderful old bear has a rare still has a working squeaker.. The eyes are clear glass painted on the back with some flaking. This is a rare bear to add to your collection.

I don't know the vintage of this lovely old bear. I think it is somewhere from the 60's. It's 15" tall with a light tan mohair coat. I am selling it for half of what I paid for it. (Got caught up in an auction... you know how it is) It is worth what I'm asking. It has been "personalized" along the way with some embroidery on the foot pads. This gives it a charm that attracted me in the first place. I am getting down to the last of my collection and am open to reasonable offers on all my remaining bears.
